Einstein Academy's note

PSAT is very useful to students in many ways. Students take PSAT once a year at their schools in America. If they did well on the PSAT test in their junior year, they can enter National Merit Scholarship programs. Getting a scholarship is also good, but being a semi-finalist or a finalist is a definite plus on the college application.

The Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a co-sponsored program by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test™.
